Eric Lee - “Hula Picnic 2010 (Osaka, Japan)”
Just a sneek-peak at all the excitement just before we were going on-stage. The band from Japan were finishing up their set while Rodney Bejer and I were about to start.
'Ulupalakua was being sung while Kawena Mechler, Tianna Barrett, Pomaika'i Klein and the thousands of Japanese hula dancers in attendance performed their hula!
MC - Kimo Kahoano jumped in the fun towards the end of the mele!
Eric Lee - “Live in Kumamoto, Japan (Goodtime Charlie’s)”
A country/western bar located in Kumamoto, Japan. Charlie Nagatani (Goodtime Charlie) has been singing country music since 1956. He opened his bar, “Goodtime Charlie’s,” in 1989, and keeps it open 7-nights a week, servicing his customers with country/western classics and drinks. I met Charlie in December of 2008 and we became good friends. He invited me to come and play at his bar anytime I was in town. I took this opportunity to promote my new CD, “Crossroads.” This video excerpt kinda just shows me jamming some classic country, blues, rock with Charlie’s band, “The Cannonballs.” Very talented guys! If you’re in Japan, make sure to check out Charlie’s annual country concert, “Country Gold”!
